In the afternoon of January 15, 2022, the 8th meeting of the Alumni Fund Management Committee of SEM was successfully held in Beijing Guoji Building.
Wang Weicai, Vice Director of the Council of USTB, former Vice President and alumnus of postgraduate Management Class 1985, Wu Sen, Chairperson of the Party Committee of SEM, Ni Yu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Associate Dean of SEM, Qin Yifang, Director of the Public Relations Office of SEM, Shao Guochen, Xie Kehai, Li Wei, Wang Xin, Zhang Yalin, Lin Shaorong, Ji Jiaoyun, Tang Wentao, Wu Lei and Wu Peng, members of the Fund and alumni representatives attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Wu Sen.
Wu Sen, Chairperson of the Party Committee of the School, firstly reviewed the achievements of SEM in talent cultivation, discipline construction, international accreditation and the 40th anniversary of SEM in 2021. She then introduced a series of important activities such as the establishment of the Alumni Association and Alumni Forum, the alumni growth mentors, the Economic and Management Entrepreneurship Practice Camp, visits to the alumni enterprises, the interview of alumni and the renewal of MBA alumni. Lastly, she focused her speech on the management and use of the alumni fund.

Wang Weicai, Vice Director of the Council of USTB, former Vice President and alumnus of postgraduate Management Class 1985, expressed his thanks to the alumni who have been concerned about the development of the university and SEM for a long time and gave full acknowledgment of the alumni work of the school. Wang Weicai suggested that on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of USTB, the Alumni Association of SEM should serve as a bridge, holding forums to build more platforms for alumni to communicate with USTB.

After his speech, the alumni had an in-depth exchange over the achievements made by SEM and the important activities held by SEM in 2021 and put forward positive suggestions for the development of the school. On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of USTB, all alumni expressed their blessings to their alma mater and said that they would contribute more to the development of the school.

After the exchange, Wu Sen summarized the meeting and expressed thanks to the alumni for their concern about the development of SEM. She said that the meeting will promote the work of the school, and the school will carry forward the suggestions put forward by alumni. She believed that, with the full support of the alumni, SEM will have a better future.
